Search and Rescue
After an earthquake, or inside a burning building, it's often far too dangerous for people to search straight away. Rescue robots can go exactly there: into narrow gaps, into thick smoke, into rooms at risk of collapse.
They carry cameras, thermal sensors and microphones to find people. All the while they have to weigh things up: keep searching, or turn back before the robot itself is destroyed?
How it works

Enter the area
The robot drives into an area that is too dangerous for people.

Scan
It uses its sensors to look for heat, sound or movement.

Judge the danger
If it spots a dangerous place, it looks for another way.

Report
It tells the rescue team who it found and where.
Here you steer a robot. It has to find people who are trapped and stay away from danger.
