A Robot on Mars
A rover on Mars cannot be driven like a remote-control car. A radio message from Earth takes 4 to 24 minutes.
By the time your picture reaches Earth, it would have hit a rock long ago. So it has to decide a lot for itself.
How it works

Receive the task
A rough goal for the day comes from Earth. For example: drive to this rock.

Navigate alone
The rover finds its own way. It goes around obstacles.

Collect samples
At the goal it drills out rock samples or grabs them.
- 4
Send results
The readings go back to Earth. They only arrive minutes later.
Here you program a row of driving commands. The rover has to collect samples and reach the base.
Guess first, then experiment
Your rover sets off on Mars. Then you see that one command was wrong. Can you still stop it?
