Swarm Leader
Get many robots to work as one team.
What you'll learn in this level
- What a robot swarm is
- Why many simple robots can be strong
- Why different roles make sense
Many Robots, One Team
A single ant isn't particularly clever. Even so, an ant colony builds enormous nests together, finds the shortest routes to food and defends itself successfully. The strength isn't in the individual animal but in the teamwork.
Swarm robotics uses exactly this idea: instead of building one expensive super-robot, you let many simple robots work together. Each follows simple rules, and together they solve tasks none of them could manage alone.
How it works
- 1
Hand out roles
Each robot gets a job: scouting, collecting or building.
- 2
Explore
Scouts spread out and find where there is something to fetch.
- 3
Work together
Collectors fetch the material. Builders turn it into something.
- 4
Adjust
If something is missing somewhere, you hand out the roles again.
Here you give each robot a role. Together they have to collect material fast.
Guess first, then experiment
Collectors carry the most. So you put all ten robots in the collector role. Does the swarm finish the mission?
